Home Care
Home care or Domestic Assistance is the provision of assistance with light domestic chores. Tasks may include:
- Vacuuming
- Mopping floors
- Sweeping floors
- Cleaning bathrooms and toilets
- Wiping down kitchen surfaces
- Checking the refrigerator for out of date items
- Light Dusting
- Ironing
- Changing bed linen
- Assistance with laundry
- Unescorted Shopping (without the consumer in attendance)
Seniors Community Care can assist to provide support with these domestic duties enabling one to continue living independently and reducing the risk of falls or injury.
Veterans’ Home Care (VHC) program
The Department of Veterans’ Affairs Veterans’ Home Care (VHC) program provides low level home care services to eligible veterans and war widows and widowers. Seniors Community Care is an approved provider for the Veterans’ Home Care program.
Seniors Community Care can provide Domestic Assistance (Home Care), In-home Respite, Personal Care and/or Safety Related Home and Garden Maintenance where a client is assessed as eligible.
